Howard Aussie Rules

The umpire was getting readThe umpire was getting ready to throw the ball in the air. At the same time I was getting ready to jump for it. We have been learning the new skills required to play Aussie Rules.

To play this game you have to have an Aussie rules ball. It looks like a rugby ball, but with stitches on one side and none on the other.

One of the skills we have learnt so far is the tip off. That is when the umpire throws the ball in the air and you have tap it to your partner at the back of you. It is unpredictable for you to know if you are going to get the ball.

My favourite bit of Aussie Rules is getting to know the people who teach us how to play, but most of all it is just having fun doing it.y to throw the ball in the air. At the same time I was getting ready to jump for it. We have been learning the new skills required to play Aussie Rules.

Howard Mesmerising

Its only a short hop skip and jump across the Tasman Sea to Australia, but there is a world of different in what you will find there.

Australia is a multi cultural country like New Zealand but the indigenous people don’t speak Te Reo Maori they speak Aborigine. Aborigine is the Australian language that come from the first people to live there.

The native animals of Australia are Kangaroo, Koala , and Platypus which only live in Australia.
Australians do not like crocodiles because they could get bitten, be killed, or be eaten.

Australia’s climate is predominantly arid hot and dry, but Australia is not the hottest country. The desert in Australia is different to the coastline in Australia, because one is hot and one is warm and muggy.

So if you are fortunate enough to make the journey, you will need to allow plenty of explore all that Australia has to offer.
